This blog is about Wedding photography, but from a slightly different perspective.
This blog is just about What I Can Do For You.
This blog is about what I can offer you, what I can do for you as a wedding photographer on your Wedding Day.
The First thing that I offer you is Stress Free Wedding Photography - so one less thing to worry about on your wedding day.
We meet up before your wedding day, if you would like a pre-wedding shoot to feel comfortable in front of the camera we can do this, as you need to feel comfortable in front of the camera - whether it's my camera or another photographers camera, ensure that you are comfortable with your photographer and that your not going to be pulling a strange crazy smile every time you realise that the camera is pointing in your direction.
I can show you photographs from hundreds of weddings that I have photographed to help show you my style and also to help you see what type of images we can capture throughout the day at a range of different venues, both locally and countrywide.
I discuss with you before your Wedding day which type of images you like and don't like, so that I know exactly what you would like. We can go to the venue and discuss your favourite spots and also back up locations if the weather is not as dry as we had hoped - as even if you are getting married in the Summer - having a back up plan helps keep the day stress free.
I go through with you exactly what you are going to get from me - which is a memory stick of all of your images - Hi Resolution - with everything in colour and also a selection in black and white and if you like the mixed colour photos - you can have some of those too.
If you decide you would like a wedding album, after you are married you can come back and we can sort out a wedding album. The reason why I don't include this in the price - is simple - not everybody wants an album. So what I include in the price is ALL of the edited images from your wedding - i do not limit the number of images -I take out the blinkies and the ones where auntie Lulu doesn't look great, but all of the others - you get. Some photographers will tell you they give you 100 photos from your day - how do they know which ones are the most important? Who chooses those 100 ? Surely if you are paying me for - however many hours you choose to pay me for, then you need to be getting ALL of the photos that I take for you during that time. That's the fair way of working. The images on the DVD or memory stick are then yours to have as many prints or canvases etc done as you wish. They are not for commercial use, so you can't sell them to magazines etc. But you can use them for your own personal use to do with as you please - make wall paper out of them if you wish ;-)
OK so let's get to the money part then. What can I do for you when it comes to the money part???? I try and make this as easy as possible for you. if you decide that you would like to have me for the whole day - and we need to have my assistant there to, to cover groom prep as well as me covering bride prep and all the angles in church covered from two points of view etc etc. and you want to spend £1500 with me, then what I say to you is, you don't need to pay me a 50% deposit, if you would like to pay me monthly you can, or 3 monthly ,we can work out what works for you. So long as you pay a deposit and the balance is paid 30 days before your wedding, we can break the rest down into smaller payments - at no extra charge - this isn't any kind of credit agreement, it's just about making life as easy as we can for you.
Weddings are expensive times and stressful times and all I want to do for you is make it as Happy and stress free as I possibly can for you.
Remember to ask your photographer plenty of questions when you book them - what happens if their car breaks down on the way to your wedding?
Are they insured ? What happens if they get sick/have an accident and can't come ?
What happens if you have to cancel or change your date ? I know most couples get insurance for this these days, but it's still worth asking the question.
There are lots of things to discuss, so make sure that when you go to meet your photographer - or when they come to meet you, you have a pen and paper and are ready to take notes, and ask the questions you have noted down.
The last thing I will mention in this blog. Once I have seen a couple, often people will meet a few photographers before they book, if they don't book me and in the meantime I meet another couple for the same date who want to book me - I let them book me - I don't go back to check with the other couple first - I work on a first come first served basis - the first couple to complete their booking form and pay their deposit gets the day.
I hope this helps you in your search for your photographer to capture your Wedding day. Don't forget to ask plenty of questions. Have fun. Alex
Get in touch and let me know where you are getting married and let's have a chat about your Wedding Day Photography. I photograph weddings all over Worcestershire, cover wedding photography across the West Midlands and travel all over the UK photographing weddings, so don't worry, no journey is too long.
Due to Covid and moving weddings from last year to this year and then from this year to next year I have limited availability for 2022, so please let me know your wedding date sooner rather than later.
I look forward to hearing from you and when and where you are planning on getting married.
