Hello Everybody, today I am blogging about our Flatlay Backgrounds, which are great for all kinds of reasons - these reasons include; Easy to use, they are ready to use as soon as you take them out of the box they arrive in. Having a Flatlay Background gives you a background that you can pick up and use anywhere you like, as the image is on a board it gives you a firm base that you don't have to worry about unrolling or weighing down on the corners and you can create any kind of look you want, depending on the light source you choose to place them in  - by a softly lit window, or bright sunlight, dark shadows or a bit of both, the choice is yours. Making them handy for quick social media photos etc or product photos for your website/online shop.

Simply place your products onto the Flatlay background, check for unwanted shadows - of yourself or your camera and keep positioning your items until you are happy with the layout. Remember to try things a couple of ways before you decide, have a play, framing your products with other items you have to help tell the story until you are completely happy, If you use your phone and are taking the photos for Instagram, you can always set your phone to take square photos which will help you with the framing whilst you are laying out your items.

If you place your Flatlay Background next to a window, it might be nice to use the shadow of a plant or flower stem to add more interest to your layout, rather than adding other items onto the Board, have a go and see what you think.

If you use two Flatlay Backgrounds together you can create a mini tabletop studio, which is great to photograph smaller items, such as food, perfume, jewellery, cards etc. All of the photos on this blog were taken with my iphone using natural light on our Flatlay Backgrounds.
