Most sales these days are internet sales and I think the announcements every week of more and more High street shops closing really reinforces this. People lead busy lives and often they are sitting in front of the TV at night whilst watching TV and surfing the net at the same time - this makes it even harder for your products to be noticed and so in order for people to see your products and achieve the urge to want to purchase your products without being able to touch and feel it, they need to be photographed well to create that need from the person viewing. This is not something that can be done quickly with the camera on your phone.
