I have recently run a couple of evening photography courses, showing people how to use their cameras to capture star trails, sparklers and low light evening scenes. My next one will be on Thursday 13th December, it will run from 6pm to 8.30pm with a maximum of 4 people, it is £60 each or £110 if two of you book together.

If this is something that you would like to have a go at, whether there is a group of you, just two of you, or even if it's just for you to progress and try something new, drop me a line.

If you have a DSLR you will need a tripod ideally, you can get hold of reasonably priced tripods on ebay and similar online stores and whilst these aren't as sturdy as some of the more expensive tripods on the market - you can always hang a camera bag from the centre hook to hold it in place in a more solid way if need be.

I run these courses from my Home in Dodford, Bromsgrove B61. They can also be run in a town centre if you would like to have a go at car trails from a bridge.
It can also be useful to learn how to use your camera at night if you are traveling north where there is little daylight at this time of year, or you would like to photograph the Northern Lights or other similar type dusky landscapes.
The time where the sun drops and the moments before the dark really kicks in are just stunning for shades of blue, so don't be frightened, get a tripod and have a go and if you need a helping hand, give me a shout and I can show you how.
If you would like to learn what all of the settings do and the buttons are for and to achieve more from your camera before the year is through then drop me a line. It is £110 for two people to come along for a 2.5 hour course.
