There are many fabulous venues to get married at around Worcestershire and the West Midlands. I have photographed weddings at a variety of locations all over the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Before you book your wedding venue I think there are some really important things to think about, obviously you need to think about the size of the venue and how many guests you will be inviting, you don't want a huge room with just 50 guests and likewise you don't want to compromise and have just 40 guests if that's all a venue can offer, if you really want a large party of 200 guests.

Some venues have rooms where guests can stay overnight, whilst others have a taxi service handy to shuttle guests to a local hotel. So have a think about whether you have a lot of guests that are traveling far to come to your wedding and will need rooms or are there any that would like to stay over even though they have not traveled that far and if so will they be able to stay at your venue.

If you are getting married in church - think about whether your venue is far from the church, how far will people be driving from one place to another and if a lot of people are staying at your reception venue will you be putting on a bus or coach for them or do you need to put directions and post codes for sat navs on your invites ?

Where will you be doing your Bride Prep? will you do this at your house or in your room at the venue? Make sure you have people there with you, sounds crazy - but if you don't have any bridesmaids - make sure you ask mom or a couple of friends to be with you - people to talk and get excited or emotional with, a glass of champers with and to help you into your dress ;-)

Remember to relax and enjoy your day, it goes by in the blink of an eye. To ensure that you do feel relaxed on your day make sure that the people you employ to do the different jobs on your wedding day, are people that you can trust and feel happy that they will do for you exactly what you want. Whether it is your flowers, a string quartet, your photographer, suit hire, car hire and the myriad of other people that will be involved in your day, choose well, feel comfortable with them so that you can relax and enjoy your day to the full.

Make sure that who ever you book for the different jobs you know exactly what you are getting for your money, from photos to button holes and table decorations, make sure you have in writing exactly what you are paying and exactly what you get for the payment.
