Equestrian Photography around Worcestershire and the west midlands

This is Fred he was a lovely gentle boy, we took some lovely photographs of him today.

Teasel was lovely too, she was very well behaved and kept her ears forward for me really well bless her, we had a lovely time. What a lot of photographers forget when they say they will do equestrian photography is that you need to be comfortable with horses, they are big and often unpredictable animals – they are wild animals tamed by us – to a certain degree of course, but like all animals – THEY KNOW IF YOU ARE FRIGHTENED OF THEM. So, you need to feel comfortable in their company to get the best from them.

I photograph a lot of horses and never really realized how photographing a friends horse several years ago was going to lead to now photographing a couple of 150 to 200 a year. Fortunately I love horses and thoroughly enjoy working with them and their owners.
